WINGS OF MY GUITAR: This song is set in a gospel rock a bye musical genre. I originally wrote this song with the great blues rock guitar player Jeff Healey in mind. We've played music and written songs together in the past. When he had his first child I was caught up in the thought of what it would be like to be a rocking blues guitar player singing and playing for your small child - assuring the child of your love and protection. I call this song a "rock a bye". I related to the emotions like it was my child. As I've said before I'm a worshipper of the electric guitar and if I could play what I hear in my head when I think of the love I would have for a child of mine I would rock the world. Alas I'll leave the great guitar playing to Jimi, Stevie and Jeff and others and be thankful for my musical blessings. Maybe in another lifetime. The wings also represent the melodies that are sent into space up to the heavens.
